I went to New York at the start of February (I know too cold!) and it ruined my life…
New york was amazing for 3 days, L.E.S skatepark was so much fun and we stayed in a beautiful hotel , went shopping on the Upper East Side, went to SOHO & NOHO, had a Chinese hot pot (sorry if thats not the name) for the first time. And basically did a Gossip Girl meets skate rat radical tour of the place….and then…I got the Flu and not like I thought I might have the flu …I couldn’t move …at all and was literally delirious.
My flight home was the worst experience of my life, I do not know how or why they let me on it (my bad ass acting skills 😉 ). During departures I was basically just lying on the marble floor shaking…total nightmare.
So then…this cough and by cough I mean cannot breathe in without coughing… that I got during that time just didn’t go away….I still have it now….every day since the start of February :(!!
I have had every test imaginable and have still tried to skate loads and have a normal time in between huge fits of coughing and wheezing for the whole day every day.
Right so sorry if this is boring but I am getting to the point now. So after all this time I finally found out I have asthma. The way I found out was that I so couldn’t breathe that for the 5th time I went back to the doctor and basically had a meltdown and then got hooked up with an inhaler…which I then pimped out like this..
I know that far worse things happen to people but it was bad and so I decided (forced by my best friend) to take 3 days to just chill the freak out…something I find it extremely hard to do ever.
And because I can’t really ever chill out I actually decided to create this blog about resting and relaxing whilst trying my total best to do that. ;/
So whatever your beef is with life I have some tips for stuff to make you feel rejuvenated.
1.Watch some new but old movies you haven’t seen- I watched ‘Never Been Kissed’ and ‘Jawbreaker’. I watched them in the bath for ultimate relax points. I also re-watched ‘Clueless’ the greatest movie of all time, ‘Lake Placid V’s Anaconda’ and ‘The Ouija Experiment’. Also this horrifically scary movie called ‘Hush’ with a bad ass deaf woman as the lead
2.Listen your favourite to music really loud at breakfast time and whilst you get ready- I listened toBlack Sabbath (all albums) I especially like ‘Heaven and Hell’ and I also like the newest one 13. I also listened to Life of Pablo by Kanye West skipping some of the tracks on that one tbh. I didn’t do this every day because I forgot and also because I am rubbish with music.
3.Juice – My friend and I made this magical juice…Carrot , Apple, Ginger, Lemon and Spinach…easy on the spinach and the ginger if you want it to taste nice
4.Spa Treatments– I basically visited Lush on the first day of my intended relaxation and got in a few essentials I knew we would need. They were Bath Bombs – ‘The Experimenter’ , the best one in my opinion and I have literally tried them all. 2 different face masks one being BBSeaweed and the other being ‘Mask of Magnanimity’ (this is the one in the picture below) as well as a massage bar ‘Strawberry Feels Forever’ to moisturise my skin and also try to heal some of the shin digs and cuts that I have on my legs from skating so much.
5.An out of the ordinary purchase- Trawling the internet wasn’t part of my intended chill but I just couldn’t help it and decided I never buy jewellery so I treated myself to this cute bracelet from My Flash Trash.
6.Light toning exercises. My inability to chill was satisfied by basically doing about a minute each of 10 of my favourite moves making a short ten minute work out. If you really want to know what they are which I am sure you probably don’t then ask in the comments below and I will upload it.
7.Try to motivate your best friend into doing all of this with you.

8.Nails –I usually visit my local salon for this , I have been getting acrylics there since I was like 16…ewe to Acrylics you say?….err no…it’s the only nails you can get in the history of the world that look bang-a-lang and don’t chip when you skate or other important adventures. This time considering I cant go outside I just did an at home pedicure with my friend Valentine.
